In our orchard in the fields, situated between the mountains of the Bergstraße and the Neckar and the historic town of Ladenburg, you not only have a good view of the surrounding quarries, but also the opportunity for various tours: on foot to the 2 castles, or to the Neckar for canoe tours, walks and hikes along the Blütenweg all the way to Heidelberg.
The garden is very narrow and consists only of fruit trees.
There is a pitch directly accessible via a driveway.
Somewhat sloping, as the field path is a bit higher.

The A5 motorway can be heard somewhat (depending on wind direction, more or less), but it is also quick to reach.

The garden is a natural orchard meadow, so there are no facilities like a toilet, water, or electricity. A small campfire in a designated fire bowl/BBQ is permitted. Old wood from felled branches is available and can be used freely.

Small parking lot under a large oak tree with a bench. Bring high wedges! A sign would be helpful to indicate you're in the right place, as nothing points to a parking spot. Difficult to find in the dark. Walkers look very skeptical, as they probably think you're a wild camper. Highway very loud (with pop-up roof). We can't say anything about the host, as we had no contact.
Mel offers a very idyllic place – unfortunately the highway is very noticeable – but Mel is very friendly, she gave us nice tips for our morning walk. Kerstin from Eckernförde
For us with a car and roof tent, it was a perfect fit. For large motorhomes, the space could quickly get tight. Super nice, shady spot under the huge tree. Depending on the wind direction, you can hear the highway traffic quite clearly – luckily, that only happened rarely during our stay. Mel was always reachable, and we were even allowed to snack on plums and figs from the trees. We can recommend this place with a clear conscience.

A bit tight for a 6-meter van with bikes. We managed, but it took a lot of maneuvering. The highway is a bit loud. Otherwise, cozy with plenty of greenery.
Communication was great, the place was exactly as described, sooo nice and quiet, and a wonderful evening!
Nice little plot of land. The tree provides shade and there is seating available. The contact was very pleasant.

Actually, it's a nice spot under the walnut tree, if only the highway wasn't so close. Furthermore, the pitch is at most suitable for vehicles 6m long and a maximum height of 2.5m. We paid €21.85 for 2 people, which seems rather high to us; you can already get pitches for €25 that include toilets, showers, and disposal.
