A dream pitch 'On the Alpine Meadow' (Auf der Alm) In absolute peace and seclusion, close to our farm. Here you can go hiking, mountain biking, or simply enjoy pure nature! The pitch is located at approximately 700m above sea level in the heart of the Black Forest, between the Elz Valley and Freiamt. It is situated directly on the Kandelhöhenweg and the Freiamt Panorama Trail. https://www.freiamt.de/fileadmin/Dateien/Webseite/Bilder/Prospektbestellung/2022-11_Panoramaweg_barrierefreier_Flyer.pdf You will be parked slightly above our farm, where you can soak in the views. We are happy to provide electricity, water, and Wi-Fi (see details below). There is a second pitch on the opposite side, also listed on Nomady. Therefore, you might have some friendly neighbors during your stay. Alternatively, you can book both pitches if you are traveling with two vehicles to have the entire space to yourselves. We, the Gerber family, run this historic farm. While we no longer have active agriculture, we look forward to welcoming all guests and sharing our beautiful homeland with you. In case of snow or very muddy conditions, access is only possible via Schillingerbergstrasse No. 21.

Your pitch is located directly on the Kandelhöhenweg and the Freiämter Panoramaweg. You're also connected to the 5-star hiking region of Zweitälerland and find yourselves in the mountain biking paradise of the Black Forest. If you're ready for a break from active holidays, it's just a stone's throw to the charming town of Emmendingen, and you can reach the university city of Freiburg in just 30 minutes.

We were definitely here on the wrong Saturday: Extremely many and loud hiking groups had settled on the pitch because it is also advertised as a rest stop with chilled drinks. There were so many that our reserved spot was initially not recognizable because it looked like a party up there. So we stayed in the lower area of the property because we didn't want to squeeze through with the camper. Our host was not reachable. However, I had prepared myself for idyll and quiet on our trip, which only set in after 8:30 PM. The pitch is beautifully located and one or the other thirsty hiker would certainly not disturb. Picture No. 4 does not reflect the current state. The pitch is now bordered with a rope and has more seating. The path to the two upper pitches is narrow but wonderfully paved. Arriving with a camper from the public road is an adventure because it is very narrow and one hopes there is no oncoming traffic. Next time we would make sure that it is not a public holiday when we book this pitch, so that the magnificent nature can really be enjoyed as we had expected.

Great place with a gigantic view and nice ambiance. The only downside is the nearby wind turbine, which can be clearly heard when there's a corresponding wind.
